A notice indicates that the remains of a (group of) building(s) next to the sinkholes are those of a late Hellenistic temple of Zeus in doric order that was transformed into a Christian basilica in the 5th century. On its northern wall the names of 130 priests from the Hellenistic and Roman times ought to be visible. I did not manage to locate them, though there were several spots that were highlighted and may have been where the names would be. Some other names had telephone numbers attached and must have been of Turkish converts.
The wall I speak of.
