As Alanya is at the sea a room is dedicated to finds from, or related to, the sea.
There is a rather good, though partly damaged, mosaic with sea-related scenes. It is lit in the modern way: looks nice, but horrible to take its picture. I find this is one of the worst in the country, I never managed to take its picture properly. In my mind this is becoming a plague: spots are used to draw attention to elements, but the over-all picture gets lost. I see similar displays appear in other museums. It used to be possible to take a decent picture of objects in the Topkapi museum in Istanbul, nowadays they sparkle and shine, but picture taking has become almost impossible (maybe that's why they forbade it in many rooms). One reason seems to be the use of led-lights. Cheap in use, but with too centralized lighting. It gets worse when different colours are used (a curse in the Gaziantep Zeugma museum).
