I strolled from Muş to a small village where people were busy cleaning wool in streaming water (from a well, it seemed). They would beat it with sticks and some smudge came out, I think it must have been a mixture of lanolin and dirt. Children in bathing suits jumped in the rather cold water and had a good time.
