Standing on the western edge of the Seyitgazi complex, and looking to the East.
On the foreground: a part of the ‘üst avlu’ (upper courtyard). In front: the domes and chimneys of the Bektaşi convent; Ottoman architecture, 16th century.
On the right of the picture: a glimpse of the ‘Ümmühan Hatun Medresesi’, a former Byzantine monastery (10th century), which was transformed into a medrese (school) by the Seljuk in 1208. This happened on request of Ümmühan Hatun, the mother of the Seljuk sultan Allaeddin Keykubat I. Her ‘türbe’ (grave monument) was installed inside.
