Ankara 10062012_0714.jpg

Small soapstone mould with the representation of a ‘Anatolian holy couple’: a fertility goddess (on the left) and a Storm god with his conical hat. Period of the Anatolian City-states, c. 18th century BC.

The mould was used to cast lead plaques or to produce copies of it in clay.
