This is a mosaic found in 1935 from the 2nd century AD, from Mount Haç an extension of the Silpius mountain, in Hatay province. In the triclinium, the spacious dining hall, two major mosaics were found. One has depictions of the twelve months and seasons, hence “calendar”
On this older picture I show the whole (huge) mosaic, that unfortunately lost a lot of its image. The best preserved part is another Oceanus and Thetis mosaic, sea gods surrounded by all sorts of water creatures.
In a corridor outside the hall the “Black fisherman” mosaic was found.
