Cybele from Kaunos. Arms and feet are hidden in a limestone stele form of 55 cm. height. The head dress of the goddess consists of a polos hat in the form of a city wall, while she is wearing an pendant styled in the forms of acorns. OPn the body other figures and motives are apparent: mainly the portrait of Helios between the crescent and shield motives, eight lions facing each other, with a figure of Nike in between, and on the lower register there are two deer and a wreath and a scorpion. All these motives signify attributes of the local cult of Kaunos Artemis.
