The southern wall of the theater’s (largely collapsed) stage building was also the northern closing wall of the stadium. The facade facing the stadium was 37 m wide, 19 m in height and decorated (with marble) with two registers of eight large arches separated by columns. On the ground floor six square doorways led into the theater (to the ‘orchestra’/stage, to be precise); one of them can be seen on the picture, still half filled with earth and debris.
