We've just left central stage through a hole in the wall at its end and are back in the stadium, from which the next few pictures are.
The southern wall of the theater’s (largely collapsed) stage building was also the northern closing wall of the stadium. The facade facing the stadium was 37 m wide, 19 m in height and decorated (with marble) with two registers of eight large arches separated by columns. On the ground floor six square doorways led into the theater (to the ‘orchestra’/stage, to be precise); three of them can be seen on the picture.
