Hoca Üveys’ mosque was built for Hacı Üveys bin Kayser at the end of the 15th century. He lived during the sultanate of Fatih Mehmed. He is sometimes confused with Hoca Üveys Paşa. It was completely destroyed in the Great Fire of Istanbul, together with the tomb of Cesnigir Osman Ağa which is next to it. Mosque and tomb were rebuilt in 1992.

As there was no clear information on site it is not clear to me what the pictures actually show. The mosque was closed at the time and did not look very promising, so I only took a picture of the door of a türbe, and some pictures of graves on the terrain, some of them nicely coloured.
