The Gazi Ahmet Paşa Mosque is not far from the Topkapı stop of the tramway (one stop earlier, Pazartekke to be precise), and the city wall (NOT the Topkapı palace museum, which is at the other end of town). It is by Sinan, the greatest Turkish architect. I am still searching for some extra information since none of my books has it. Too far off the beaten track I suppose: this one is definitely quiet. Still, it is a delightful building, very well worth a visit. There is something about his mosques that makes you know it is by him almost the moment you enter. It has to do with size and space, with ornamentation and attention to detail.
