The Ali Paşa Han I must have passed many times, and often on the other side, along the busy street that connects Eyüp with Sirkeci. This time I entered from the Kıble Çesme Caddesi and had some tea in its courtyard. It was near impossible to find information on the internet. It seems to have been the backdrop for a theatrical production in 2014, that had good reviews. It may be the longer name is Çorlulu Ali Pasha Han in which case the following could be found: Between Unkapanı Main Street and Kıble Çeşmesi Street, Çorlulu Ali Pasha Han must have been built before the execution of Ali Pasha in 1711. The han with a trapezoid plan is two storied, it surrounds the courtyard and is considered as one of the best examples of an Ottoman commercial hans.
