Mesa Verde, Colorado

Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado, was established in 1906 to preserve sites built by Ancestral Puebloans. There are over 4,000 known archeological sites and 600 of these are cliff dwellings. One of the most magnificent of these is the Cliff Palace.
