a few blocks from my little rented place after moving to Portland... i had been seeing the smoke stack as i looked out to the ocean and portland harbor... Richard saw Peaks Island and the space between it and the next island... i liked his gaze better than mine distracted by the commercial smokie stack

and way i now have a new artist friend... Richard has been collected by many actors in calif. and travels in his safari jeep around the country living now in maine in the deep woods in a cabin i am invited to and a gallery opening this friday... a cabin he has crafted... he also has made totem poles... a long artistic life... i will post an image of him somewhere... today i will eat breakfast, go early to the flower and veg market here in portland ...shoot a bit and then head to boston to meet my good friend Dan before he retires!

oh, you can see here how i am printing myself now... 4x6 in a vertical 11x14... the studio open house is this fri and sat... i have a lot to do... nothing is set up yet... but ill buy a geranium and stick some of these little guys on the wall only charging $50 and 20 some 8x10's in 16x20... all just mated and not framed...
