10 hours of hopping on short runways... after hours and hours of nothing but open water and cloud...
i at times found it hard to believe we woud ever see land... what do you need to do right to make this runway?... "everything nailed"
with a smile... most of the pilots are old timers at this amaing route... short runways... strong winds and downdrafts.. all was fun

yet, very hard with grandness felt flying at 600 miles an hr to imagine people going from one island dot to another ... in small open boats with no gps or... can i get you a drink sir? or a little sandwhich

maybe that is why i and everyone is so warmly and kindly and excited greeted when finding Pohnpei... and being wished well with gifts on leaving! 2 t shirts were rushed on to my leaving plane by one of Rob's peace core student and her family who joined us for dinner one night...
