yes! yes, the magic light, luz, how you say magic, i never new there was magic light or that light mattered! i love the beginning and ending light now as you can see and the magick moments of light! sometimes the light is fleeting and magic is gone before i push all hte buttons and get out of my car... like with a sunrise pink washed church the other morning that is still bonita, but not the magic of just a momento before... yes sometimes shoot, sometimes ask it does seem to depend for me too! best, don

For me most of the time is "Hit and run" Lol!!! I have shots this way, and I have shoots asking for permission too, It depends on the situation.
You could try with the magical hour´s light: the first 3 or 4 hours at the morning and the last 3 hours at the afternoon.

I ask for only when I have to go on one's property.
As far as I'm in a public area, I feel ok to shoot anything anywhere.

i never ask anyone for permission

the roofs are red ? it looks more like brown - the angle is good so try it on a day with better light

thanks Anthony! that helps! it seems more intrusive and nuts to really go to the door, but one maine quite eccentric women came out as i was spending 10 seconds shooting her od green and white barn and asked what i was doing and told me it was not customary im maine, did i know, do do that with out asking..... even so i am in your court and my courage is bouyed up by your vote! shot and walk away with pride!

Very well seen. I would choose the "take the photo and run option".
