SMC Softball '10 vs Nyack

Day 2 in Florida saw the Purple Knights sweep a doubleheader from Nyack College. SMC took a 3-2 lead into the 7th in the opener, but Nyack roared to a 5-3 lead -- only to see Mikes claw its way to a 6-5 win in the bottom of the 7th as KellyE came through with a game winning single. Steph earned the win on the mound, Kate had an RBI single, Steph had a triple and a single, and Ellen had two singles. KellyE stole the headlines in Game 2 with a strong performance from the mound, just missing a perfect game in an 8-0 one-hit shutout. Kate had a double and single with rbis and a run scored in game 2 while KellyE, Carleen, and KellyL all added two hits. SMC improves to 3-1 on the year with the victories.
