St. Michael’s traveled to St. Anselm midweek and the threatened rain held off long enough for a pleasant afternoon of college softball. SMC jumped out to an early lead with Heather scoring in the first inning, but St.A’s came right back and rolled to a victory powered by hot bats and opportunistic play. St. Mike’s showed their resiliency and made game2 even closer, but St.A’s ultimately took it. Stephanie threw a complete game in the opener, with KellyE going the distance in the nightcap. LindsayB had a huge 2-rbi triple; MegC had multiple hits on the day; and Kate contributed a pair of hits, a walk, and an rbi.

I got to hit to the outfield, which is always a highlight – but the true beauty of playing in Manchester is that Emily is just across the river at New Hampshire Institute of Art, so she got to pop across and see her sister play. Always a delight to have the two Billings’ chicklets together.
