Nanoreefing with an Oceanic BC29

We got involved nanoreefing at the end of November, 2006. After seeing a BC14 setup at our local pet store we felt it may satisfy our thirst for a part of the past that is sorely missed...the ocean, snorkeling, diving, and shelling...and it really has!!! In some aspects it is even better, we see more little critters than is possible on a dive trip, it costs less than traveling, and we have the best of both worlds...the cherished life in our Hollow and our dream fantasies.

This project has overtaken our lives...the construction needed to place it in our Sunroom (now called the "Reef" room), the research, setting up, monitoring, and maintaining of the tank has made for long and exhausting days. These images represent some of the 3000+/- pictures I have taken since the end of Nov. Photographing this subject is an entirely new learning curve...shooting through glass, water, very contrasty areas, Actinic and PC lights over the tank, reflections on the glass are just some of the challenges. I will be adding more images and detail as time will allow.

We received a large order from Ken Nedimyer on Jan 9th and are extremely impressed with his service, livestock, and collection practices.
