Bossiaea (Bossiaea armitii) new growth

Bossiaea has flattened stems that function as leaves; the true leaves are the tiny yellow pointed scales along the stem edge. This is a device to reduce water loss during dry periods.
The green stems in the background are “mature”; those in the foreground are new growth.
