I remember a smallish movie theater either downtown or possibly Lincoln Road. We used to call it the "dollar" theater because it was like only $2 to see films. It played features that had been running for a while. Saw Play Misty for Me & Frenzy (rated R!) there w/ my folks around late '72/early '73. Scared the hell out of me (esp. Misty) as I was only 10 yrs. old. Movies rated R were still a kind of mystery at that age.

What memories, I saw the Beatles first movie shown in Miami in 1964. The theater was beautiful inside. They do not make them like this anymore!

As a child growing up in Miami in the 50's and 60's you either went downtown to the Paramount or there was a movie theatre in Cutler Ridge Mall.
