One question my Mom could never answer:

Why do you have to go to a dime store to get penny candy?

Today it would be "WHAT is a dime store?"

Totally remember penny candy. We would collect soda bottles that people would toss by the side of the road and take them to the corner store to buy candy. We got 2 cents for the small bottles and 5 cents for the larger ones. You could leave the store with a handful of penny candy by returning just a couple of bottles. It was great!
