SSP=Sunshine State Parkway. You are correct!

What is the SSP sign on the light pole? I think I remember them. Sunshine State Parkway? Was that an early name for the Turnpike?

For my fellow geeks out there... The light pole is interesting. You can't see the light, but I can tell it's incandescent. This was a large series circuit. Between the two black wires is an insulator. Notice that there's only one wire between the poles? These street lights worked like a string of small Christmas lights. The bulbs were a couple hundred watts but only a few volts. Coral Gables had circuits like this until the 1980s. Very warm glow at night.
