Ray: Unless I am sadly mistaken, this building became a satellite office for the Florida Highway Patrol in 1955-56.
I see something here I saw on many buildings back in the 1960s. The steel rebar rods sticking out of the building. I thought it was so they could easily add a second floor some day. I'm sure they would be rusted through in no time. Many buildings had this. I wonder what the real story is? Maybe just one lazy builder?
