I worked in the Candy Dept of Jeffersons and ate lunch at the Black Angus in the mid 60's. Also went on dinner dates at Black Angus. They had a Banana Daiquiri and another sweet fruity drink that would sneak up on you..LOL

Goodness...that looks like my mom's car (a lovely shade of green)!! We used to go to Uncle John's pancake house...one Christmas, I got electric curlers for my hair...except while trying to curl my hair before we went out for pancakes, got a curler stuck in my long hair..had to go to pancake house with one roller still stuck in my hair (took hours later on to get it untangled)...Lindy Killian '73

This intersection now sees the Winn-Dixie supermarket, the Super K-Mart, and - where Black Angus and Fuddruckers used to be - Amos Sports Grille (it reopened with that name in March of 2007).

This was definitely the location of Black Angus and Jefferson's followed by Kmart and Fuddruckers and now a Fuddrucker's clone. Builder's Square was at 136 St. until the late 90s.

I could be wrong but the Builder's Square was actually where the Zayre's was and the Home Depot is now at 136 Street and US1. The building in the center left is in fact what was most recently Fuddrucker's and was Black Angus for many years. Here the building is under construction.

Across the Highway on the south side of S.W. 104th street was an Uncle John's Pancake House. We used to go there to eat breakfast about twice a month. One Sunday morning in about 1962 or '63 we were there eating when they came over the intercom & said that a 1959 black Buick was on fire in the parking lot. It was OUR CAR ! !

The car was saved but I STILL remember that to this day. And I'm 51 !

GREAT SITE ! !

Later on this same site there was a Builders square that went into the old Jefferson site. Then a Kmart. Out where the Black Angus used to they built a Fudruckers Hamburger Restaurant. My Grand Parents used to take me to the Black Angus on a regulr basis. Great Steaks.

In the latter part of the sixties there sat a Kwik Chek, Jefferson department store, and a Black Angus restaurant.
I have the memories but unfortunately no pics.
