The Delta buyout of Northwest was not complete yet and the aircraft was operated by a Northwest flight crew and was still in Northwest's color scheme. We had a Delta cabin crew and Delta safety cards were in the seat backs.

We had saved our Delta Skypesos for years and used the American Express and AMEX/Delta Skypesos credit cards for purchases, until we discovered the great Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Visa, and we had a pile of Skypesos to get rid off, especially when AMEX offered a 25% bonus on transferred AMEX Membership Rewards points. We took our daughter Donna
on this trip with us and Karen and I flew by ourselves again to Hawaii in the summer of 2010 to finally burn up all the Skypesos and start flying Southwest Airlines exclusively.
