The band members were: Doug Smith, Wally McMurray, George Doukas-trumpet/flugelhorn; Val Houston, Ed Bevil-trombone, bass trombone, euphonium; Mark Hurwitz, bari & alto sax and flute; Bob Yamaguchi-bari & soprano sax and flute; Steve Wittmack-keyboards, Rick Docen, Bobby Economou-drums, John Clausi, Bill Dunham, Tony Vino, Robert Tanner-guitar, Ken Conklyn and Rich Freed-bass; Bobby Evans-vocal. Other players with The Impact of Brass include: Steve Sherrard and Reggie Gobel-trombone; Mike Preddy-keyboards; Eric Traub-tenor sax; Randy Emerick-tenor/alto/bari/soprano sax & flute; John Goodwin-bass; Randy Bernsen-guitar; Bill Bent-keyboards; Mike Katz-trombone; Mark Colby-tenor sax. In 1976 when I graduated from college the first time, I took a trip to visit my uncle in Miami. He took me and another friend to the Crossway Inn and we saw Impact of Brass. I fell in love with their sound, their look, everything.
