Masters Field, Dade County, Florida

Thank you to Bob "Rocky" Meyerson for contributing this image of him (under arrow) and some Road Rebels with their car at the drag races. Rocky says: "We moved to Miami about 1940, I was 4 or 5. I went to Robert E. Lee Junior High in the 7th grade, then when we moved to the southwest section of Miami. I went to Shenandoah Junior High in the 8th & 9th grades. Then tried to get into Auto Shop at Lindsey Hopkins vocational school downtown. When I could not get in, I went to Miami Senior High. Joined the Road Rebels hot rod club, we ran sponsored drag races near Opa-locka at Masters Field every weekend. I was active from 1958 to 1969. This photo is of our club car..... an Olds powered Ford."
