Thanks for the memories. I lived in Opa-Locka from age 10 to my senior yr in high school. Lived on Sharr Ave. Went to St Mel's Catholic school, Junior high, attended, Westview. Moved to Hialeah from here in my senior yr in HS Class of 63' Go T-Breds. Met my wife here, in Opa-Locka, she lived on Fisherman's St., just across the St. from the elementary school. She also went to the same church and the same schools. Many good memories for us both of living in this very cool town. Just recently was in Hialeah, a few weeks ago. Stopped by to see the old town, so, so sad how run down it is. It was a great place to grow up. And not be afraid to walk anyplace in town at anytime.
Thank you again.
