The photos in this gallery are from the bus #2 airfield tour of MIA that I conducted on Friday, January 13th, 2012 in conjunction with the annual Eddy Gual aircraft slide gathering of aviation photographers from the US, Europe and Asia. Effective this year the tour is independent of, but held in conjunction with, the Eddy Gual slide gathering of photographers.
Bus #1's tour was conducted by Bruce Drum, also retired from the Aviation Department. We sincerely thank Lonny P. Craven, Airside Operations Division Director, for his continuing support of the annual airport tours by providing buses and drivers for the tours. We also thank his superiors at the Miami-Dade Aviation Department by allowing this annual event to continue.
We all had a good time on the airfield despite the overcast and I'm sure many photographers ended up with some beautiful photos of aircraft in action.
