A very nice delicious buffet luncheon and gathering of old friends, colleagues and family was held on August 31, 2011, honoring the life and achievements of Dick Judy. It was nice seeing many friends and colleagues from the Dick Judy days at Miami International Airport and seeing Dick's family 22 years after his retirement.

The luncheon was generously sponsored by Jose Diaz, my friend from years ago, who is Vice President for the Miami office of Howard Needles Tammen & Bergendoff (HNTB). We thank him and HNTB for stepping up to the plate to make this a very memorable event to honor Dade County's long-time Aviation Director who brought so many projects and improvements to Miami International Airport and the county's auxiliary airports at Opa-locka, Opa-locka West, Tamiami Airport, Homestead General and the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport.
