Petrified Forest, Tom at work

A huge kelp can be found in many places on South Island's coastline. This one here is probably Durvillaea antarctica (someone correct me please about this one), which is supposedly the strongest kelp in the world. It's easy to find species weighting 70kg (155 lb) with 2 meters long (6.5 ft) "tentacles".
