FC Bayern Munich is the first football (called soccer in the U.S.) team who won 3 major trophies in a single season. I happened to be in Munich on the last two days of my recent castle trip, mainly along River Rhine. Weather was terrible most of the time, worse in Bavaria than the other areas. I went to the Residenz to take some indoors photos. I saw a security guard kept looking outside the window of a long corridor, and out of curiosity I looked too. He told me a triumph parade would pass through the street downstairs before reaching Marienplatz (the City Hall Square) for a big celebration. I waited 2 hours till it approached, because if I continued with my route, I couldn't walk back there. There's only one direction for the visitors.
I have never been a fan of this sport, but surely it was interesting to see part of this event, and to witness the loyalty of the fans of the winning team, as well as the loyalty of those of the rival teams. They came from the other cities to boycott the parade. I guess the action ended peacefully, as I had to rush to see the other rooms before the museum was closed.
These photos were all taken from behind closed windows, hence they did not come out as sharp as I would like them to.

Denise, Thank you again for sharing your travel and experiences through your photo work. I try to understand the passion of so many for various sports, especially football, but I always fail in that effort. Over many years there have been events where violent confrontation and injury have occurred rather than sharing a drink and talk about the game. Perhaps one must grow-up in the culture to know the depth of emotion for the game. The color and subjects you chose clearly show your gift for photography. Thank you for sharing. Bob
