AirConditioner.JPG

It has been hot and humid all week in upstate New York. Today's forecast
promises to be hazy, hot and humid, yuck! My air conditioner is very
important to me today, I treat it like a baby!

We depend on our A/C here in south Texas. We use it 9 months of the year!

Trane air conditioning units are very very good, but the way your unit is installed will reduce it's longevity and reliability greatly. The unit should be installed no closer than twelve inches to a structure and should have plenty of clearance around it to freely disapate the hot air from the refrigerant. You should consult your trusted HVAC contractor for suggestions on how to improve air circulation around this unit before you are forced to repair it or replace it.

We had it 6C here all day today, wind, rain & thunder, I think I'd enjoy a swap for a few days Deb!

While we have had the coolest summer that I can remember ... down right cold at times ... we've also had a couple of hot spells and the A/C was much appreciated.

Now that's a very blue A/C unit. Mine's just a dull gray!

Good shot and I am with you. It is much more bearable with it than without it.

It's been unbearably hot and humid here too (in Ontario). But I usually go without AC during the day. I only turn it on at night to make it easier to sleep.

:-) I understand completely! I treat my portable AC unit with the same concern, given this horrible heat!! V

Yes! they are doin overtime, even here, it got to 43 yesterday on my top balcony. C° that is! I know some still use that old system. :) Where you freeze before zero, and boil very much later. :)

Great idea. It was freezing here last week (literally at 30 degrees at night), but promises to heat up for labor day weekend. Keep cool!

Cool shot and good idea. We have had one of the coolest summers on record (so far) so ours has not had much use.
