The left control knob is for the driver and it cools the seat as well as warms it. The cooling effect REALLY works. I had on a pair of jeans and I could feel the cool air blasting through my pants. The seat back cools as well. The middle pust button is for the rear window shade that goes up and down. And the right push button is the seat warmer for the front passenger. It does not have the cooling feature.
