Here's a picture of the "Bridge of Oars" at Parramatta. It's a pedestrian bridge which crosses
the river with that wonderful reserve on both sides. I'll put up a couple more images so that
you can get a better idea of its artistic design but here, as part of my on-going quest to become
proficient in black & white images, I have included both a colour and monochrome version. It may
be just me (I'm getting distinctly round the twist in my old age) but for this sunny "technicolor"
scene, I do believe that the black and white image has more impact. What do you reckon?

Now its difficult. I like them both, but if I were putting a print on my wall I would choose the B&W, it has more impact. Now I wonder why? Just to postulate an idea: 1. When it gets dark we lose colour vision. 2 Its more dangerous in the dark (primeval brain cutting in) at night. 3. The brain goes on the alert with B&W images. mmmmmmm well drawing a long bow I will admit, however what do you think. Great photos though.

Both stunning shots - undecided which is better
