WCS256.jpg

Six months have passed since the last image. A combination of summer heat, inclement weather and
the inherent difficulty of getting from the Blue Mountains to the coast on a regular basis has prevented
successful attempts to complete new WCS legs. Today, however is another matter. The weather is
nearly perfect and it promises NOT to get too hot. This image shows one of the designated paths
to Mona Vale Beach. It is seven o'clock in the morning and the sun has only now cleared that thick
bank of clouds out to sea. Just to the bottom left of the picture we can see a notice erected
by the city council advising that poison baits have been distributed through the dune vegetation
to cull the exploding rabbit population.
