Water Colors

My friend Rosemarie asked if I am weary photography trips to Yosemite each year. I am not. Yosemite always has something novel to offer me. There is always something I haven't seen before, new ways to think about who I am, and a deeper understanding of my place in the world.

This photograph is a flipped and upside-down image of what I saw in reflection in the waters of the Merced River: the trees along the bank, Yosemite Falls in the background, a sense of color and movement. Some of me is in there, and now some of you, too.

This has got to be one of the best reflection images I've ever seen! Color, comp, just perfect amount of movement-- it is a stunning image!

Stunning, and Monet-like!

The waterfall looks as it is pouring from the sky itself, Dave. It offers a striking contrast to its painterly landscape context.

I like this shot very much. So Impressionistic!
