The Irish Hills

At the end of an afternoon of photography, our group made its way down Perfumo Canyon Road. We were in the middle of Irish Hills, which lie southwest of the city of San Luis Obispo. The landscape, from mid-winter through mid-spring, seems almost as green as the Emerald Isle itself.

Love this for all the reasons mentioned. It seems dusky which adds to the mystery.

I like this for its sense of mystery -- the car appears to be driving into unexplored territory. I saw Carol Sandgren's image as well, which is the same picture with brighter, more energetic color, and left a comment on both this image and hers athttp://www.pbase.com/sveetzel/image/58334858

Beautiful shot -- it really gives the sense of going somewhere, taking a journey to someplace quaint and beautiful.
