Blind to the Truth, Salinas

Last year, I photographed this woman in front of the home that was Steinbeck's as a youth (the first photograph is visible here ). I carry her photograph - along with those of others I've photographed on my trips - on my cell phone. When I saw my lovely friend again, I tried show her what I'd come up with last year, show her the beautiful truth of who she is.

She told me she could no longer see well enough to look at the little image. Then she graciously allowed me to photograph her again.

I did a double take when i saw this woman again.... so she is still there. I do like the black and white since it tends to bring out more textures in her face. As for her blouse, she probably only has one blouse to wear. She was a dear to photograph I remember, and I'm happy to see her again.

Why did you change it to black and white?

Serendipity, the poor woman is wearing the same blouse.
