I found all this stuff fascinating. I was raised Jewish (lived in Sioux City from 1952-1960), but did not follow thru by being religious. I also have been a motorcycle nut since 1952, when I bought my 1st motorcycle at Olson Brothers Indian Sales & Service across the street from the present Schwinn dealer (who was Harley then). I still have a '46 Indian Chief, an old Cushman, and like Dave I don't ride a Harley, tho I had a few in my day. My family, Rocklin, was in Sioux City from about 1906 to present. I find no Sperlings in Sioux City anymore. SC was a grand place in which to grow up.
