At 6:30AM my friend Steve picked me up and we headed to the mountains to camp. After setting up a base camp we explored into the Hickory Creek Wilderness area. What we found by hiking in from the “back” of the valley was a beautiful stretch of dams engineered by Beaver, Castor canadensis. The weather was PERFECT as was the light! This has to have been one of the best days I’ve had, and I’m not talking about shooting, we had such a good time exploring.
You can see more photos from this day and the next in my PA Spring 2004 Gallery.
