Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Today I had a most enjoyable time shooting a video of our Assistant Curator of Mollusks. He was a very pleasant and easy going subject to shoot. In the video he mentioned a few specimens from our collection and I want to include close up stills of these subjects. He lent me a few items to bring back to my office for photographing.. Here is a specimen that is in an old ground glass jar. The label reads, “Cet. 65733, Unidentified Octopodidae, note skin projections over eyes.”

Another one of the PADers with a very cool job! Interesting shot. Perhaps when my sis makes her move to Pittsburgh I'll have the pleasure of visiting your museum.

Whoa! Can you say- "Twilight Zone!" This is simply ...otherworldly (and a tad creepy)...I like it! Thank you Ron for taking us were mere mortals are not normally allowed to go...behind the doors of the Museums research facilities. An honor rightfully reserved for the chosen few with proper letters of introduction and many letters following their names.
