Carnegie Museum of Art

Today we in the exhibits department spent five hours in the morning loading the last of a traveling exhibit into a truck. It was bitingly cold and even though it was sunny, we all froze. When I finally had a chance to take lunch and go on my photo hunt I chose to stay inside. I picked the ceiling of the Museum of Art’s hall of sculpture to try and shoot. It’s completely covered by glass tiles that let in natural light. Interspersed throughout are the characters of the Cherokee alphabet. I’ll try to add more info on this tomorrow.

Outstanding!! The highlights and shadows interact so wonderfully with the lines and patterns of this composition. Terrific work, here, Ron!

This is really eye-catching. It can't have been easy balancing between the light glass and getting good detail in the mouldings, but this looks spot-on (at least on my monitor...)
