Located on the Fraser River about 6 miles north of Lillooet, BC near the village of Fountain which is on the bench in the background towards the left. Above the village is Fountain Peak. The browned trees are caused by the ravages of the Mountain Pine beetle. This area gets very hot in summer with temps reaching 45C.
