It was a special treat to see many of the warblers we enjoy so much during migration on their wintering grounds in Cuba. This Cape May Warbler was particularly nice to see. I’m not sure if they just hadn’t fully molted yet or not but I noticed that pretty much all of the male Cape May Warblers we saw during our visit last month were missing most if not all of the chestnut on their cheek. This was about the most I saw and it’s barely there at all. Even without it, this is one sharp bird!
