My father in law served on this track! He was the driver. Please forward pictures, info, etc., please. They called him “Coon Ass” for anyone who served in 1967.

Hi, I had a memory lapse of my son dad. He called me after leaving Millington Naval Base in Millington Tenn. In Dec 65 or Jan. 66 he said he was rushed to Yuma AZ. He called shortly to say he knew I was pregnant with his child, of course young and never pregnant, I said noseveral times, he said yes.Millington would not give me without Social. Red Cross sent my son photo back saying a pretty baby but his name was very common. He was bi racial Puerto Rican, French, dad, Mom Caucasian, one older sis. I can't remember their name, mom name could be Ellen, or Alice, Caucasian. As I send u this I can vividly hear him say this and said I need his social and all. I said ok, wrote it in my yr. Book. I was truly 7 mos. B4 I went to Dr for physic to enter college. I was to give my now son up and continue to college in a few days per my counselor. But the day in Sept 29th I was to sign him over, born Sept 28. I ask my mom to wait, I wanted to at least look at him. I did, and tears came up, he looked just like his dad. I sent Red Cross a letter asking for his where abouts A t 6mos I left Memphis baby and me not aware what had happened. I came out here, decided to live, and all these yrs. My son never knew hid dad, or even saw a photo. He was from the Bronx I think. Curly black hair, light brown skin, wore loaf like shoes with tassels on them. Sweaters and slacks. He hated his first assignment in Marine Corp, cooking I think. He was 20 or 21. 5'8 maybe. I think Floyd Brown or Smith. But common last name. I lost it after I found I was pregnant. I have to finally know if he is alive or not. Wish I had facial photos of Marines from NY that was there or live or dead around 1966 early. Jan to ????? GOD help us in some way please. I am thinking Aaron in his name like two first names Floyd Aaron or ??. I live in a nightmare not knowing. His son and Grandson need to know. He would be proud of both. Law enforcement and grandson, just graduated college. Thanx, and I respect those that served.
