Early in my tour when I was with the mechanized infantry unit we were on a routine (boring) patrol in light jungle. We heard a Huey approaching and looked up to see a movie camera sticking out of the side of it pointed in our direction. The squad leader called a halt and everyone jumped off the track and advanced, guns blazing, toward an unseen (and non-existant) enemy. All in the hopes of being on the evening news back home. Boys will be boys, even in the war zone.
