Reflections on a military career

At the end of April, 2021, it will be 26 years since I last wore an Army uniform. It's hard for me to wrap my head around that, since much of it seems like yesterday. I'm proud to say that many of the guys with whom I served in Vietnam are still close friends, but our activities and our numbers have become fewer in recent years. I was fortunate - maybe even blessed - to have been allowed to share the experiences of a military career. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I am proud to know you Dave, you are a special person sharing your memories with so many. I know a lot of people will never know what it is to have so many brothers that would die for you and some did. God bless you and yours.

That is the Purple Heart. It's one that I would rather not do again.

Congratulation my friend and for your many years in the service. I see the Vietnam ribbons and is that the PH ribbons.
