The company commander of Bravo Co. 2/2nd Inf., Cpt. Rose and 3 other soldiers were killed when the 206 command track hit a mine. He was from Dayton, Ohio, Cpt. Rose was 24 years old and married. He had only been with the unit for a little over a month, but was both liked and respected.
